I could go on about our travails at CDG Airport this morning and how what should have been a 75 minute connection became a 8.5 hour slog, but how boring to hear such complaining. Enough said. We arrived in Lisbon around dusk and got a taste of the medieval cobblestone alleyways in the neighborhood of Alfama, our home for the next couple of nights. The apartment is clean and serene and in the best of locations, thank you Jose and Claudia! First impressions: very old world and quaint! Can’t wait to do some serious exploring tomorrow after a good nights sleep.
